Sunday Mornings at Fairview Bethel

Our Sunday morning worship gathering begins at 10:10 in the building on the corner of Old Forge Rd and Lewisberry Road.  There is parking on both sides of the building.  When you enter through the front or side doors, you'll be greeted in our lobby and given a program that shows the order or of gathering.  The greeters will be able to answer any questions you might have and explain our children's ministries.  The doors to the gathering room will be open.  You can feel free to sit wherever you feel most comfortable.  Speaking of comfort, there is no particular dress expectation.  If you have children, you'll want to take a look at our Students page for more information.

​You can generally expect the gathering to last around an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. You won't be expected to know any words or songs.  Everything will either be on a powerpoint screen or in a hymn book that's easily accessible.  Most of the time we sing hymns and choruses from our songbook.  After the kids are dismissed to Jr. Church, we have a time of sharing where people have the opportunity to share prayer concerns or thanks for blessings in their lives.  This part of our gathering helps us to stay connected to one another.  Guests are free to share if they would like, although are certainly not expected to.  

The message is usually 20 minutes long and makes the Bible accessible and applicable to our lives.  You can hear some of our messages on this page.

If you have children with you: 

We have small group Sunday School classes available for school age students through high school, and classes for their parents as well.

When you visit our worship gathering, we have nursery care for children under 4.  You are naturally welcome to keep babies with you in the main room if you prefer.

Kids from age 4 through elementary school will stay with you for the first part of our gathering (about 20 minutes).  We normally have a 'children's chat' time part way through the service after which the kids are dismissed to Jr. Church downstairs.  They stay together for this time and the Jr. Church leader will welcome your child.  If you'd prefer to go down with your child to make sure they are comfortable, you are more than welcome.  

The children' in our church form close friendships quickly and will be glad have a new friend join them.  

After our gathering, you can meet your child downstairs (it's the big central room at the bottom of the stairs).
